Gurdjieff says that the purpose of this first series of his writings is “to destroy, mercilessly, without any compromises whatsoever, in the mentation and feelings of the reader, the beliefs and views, by centuries rooted in him, about everything existing in the world.” All and Everything contains the essence of Gurdjieff’s wisdom and understanding. This Two Rivers Press edition, first published in 1993, is an exact facsimile re-publication of the work as it was originally prepared for publication by Gurdjieff and published by Harcourt, Brace and Company in 1950.
